You should control your music library and the devices you use to access it. We believe in user and library sovereignty — your music, your rules, your choices. No platform should dictate how you organize or experience your personal collection.
Library ownership
Connect Astiga to your music library, wherever it is. We support many different storage services; even your own self-hosted libraries.
Device freedom
Astiga comes with a Web player, an Android app, desktop apps for Windows and Linux and, now, an iOS app in development. We also integrate with Sonos, Chromecast and Google Home.
We even support the Subsonic protocol, allowing you to choose any Subsonic music player to connect to Astiga.
User experience
We reject the algorithmic dopamine-fueled rush that dominates modern music platforms. Instead, we focus on creating authentic experiences that respect your time, attention, and musical preferences without manipulation or addiction-driven design patterns.

The closest we get to an algorithm is a “recently added” list! We think you’re the best judge of what to play, and what to buy.

We won’t bombard you with suggestions, and we won’t try to keep you glued to a screen. We want you to choose your music, click play, then listen.

We believe in organic growth built on genuine value rather than aggressive scaling tactics. Our approach centres on charging fairly for the value we deliver, ensuring sustainable operations that serve our users’ music library in the long-term.
We don’t aim for hyper-growth nor “move fast and break things” but we do believe in continual improvement; fixing bugs, adding documentation, delivering great customer service and implementing new features in an incremental way.

Astiga is hosted in Germany and is green by design. The data centre used by Astiga is ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 certified, and uses 100% guaranteed of origin renewable energy, hence minimising our contribution to global warming.
